He accepted a faculty position. He was named Professor of the Year, an award for teaching people to do the thing instead of doing the thing. He threw a ceremonial first pitch at a Dodgers game, redirecting finite mechanical resource into an entirely different sport. He beat Tyler1 at Street Fighter by publicly leaking that he was practicing one character while secretly drilling another — a genuinely excellent piece of tradecraft that the committee is obligated to score as espionage rather than skill.

Ranking Methodology
FOGSR™ Rating 3.1 — peer-reviewed by the peers being ranked
CS2 (45%) — Premier rating, normalized. Weighted heaviest because it is the category in which the rankings happened to already be correct. It is no longer the category in which the rankings are correct. The weight remains 45%.
MDC — Micro Decay Coefficient (new, 3.1) — Mechanical skill is perishable. Players who spend a ranking period away from ranked play — at, for example, a university — are scaled ×0.82. Players who were not maintaining measurable micro to begin with are exempt, as there is nothing to decay.
OLE — Off-Ladder Life Events (new, 3.1) — A flat deduction for time-consuming personal or professional developments outside competitive gaming. Weighted by estimated hours removed from the queue. Engagements carry the maximum published value (−0.41). The committee wishes to be clear that this is happiness-neutral and rating-negative.
Mecca Chameleon Clause (new, 3.1) — Where a player demonstrates excellence in an adjacent competitive title, the Agent Pool Diversity penalty may be eased from ×0.25 to ×0.55. It may not be lifted. She still plays one agent.
§12.1 — Competitive Participation Bonus (new, 3.1) — A flat +0.06 for entering a sanctioned tournament during the ranking period. Introduced this period because exactly one player did, and the committee wished to make an example of her in the positive direction.
Psyop Clause §6.4 (new, 3.1) — Victories secured primarily through deception, misdirection, or deliberate disinformation regarding character selection are recorded as wins and scored as zero. The committee is a fan of the bit. The committee measures hands.
APD / CC / LEGACY / LTA — Agent Pool Diversity, Carry Coefficient, Legacy Skill, and Live Tournament Adjustment carry forward unchanged from 3.0. The LTA remains available to any player willing to state on a live broadcast that they did well at something.
Independence Statement
The FSLR Competitive Integrity Committee certifies that the three new coefficients introduced in Rating 3.1 were developed in response to observed player behavior, and not, as alleged, in response to one specific player's July. The committee notes that the coefficients apply universally and that it is not the committee's fault only one player triggered all of them.
FOGSR™ is a registered trademark of nobody. Methodology subject to change retroactively, especially if Squeex loses at anything. Appeals may be submitted in writing and will be graded on penmanship, then discarded. Three of you have until December 31. The committee is aware you know that.
